With Beijing being in the unique position as the first city to host both Summer and Winter editions of the Olympics, several venues from the 2008 Summer Olympics will be reused for the 2022 Winter Olympics as part of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIV Olympiad’s (BOCOG) Sustainability Plan.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games featured a record 33 competitions and 339 events held across 42 competition venues. The world’s best technologies have been adopted in developing competition venues and operating the Games. The 2020 UEFA European Football Championship, is scheduled to be the 16th UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international men’s football championship of Europe organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The tournament is to be held in 12 cities in 12 UEFA countries. UEFA President Michel Platini said the tournament is being hosted in several nations as a “romantic” one-off event to celebrate the 60th “birthday” of the European Championship competition.
The UEFA Champions League is an annual club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and contested by top-division European clubs, deciding the competition winners through a group and knockout format. It is one of the most prestigious football tournaments in the world and the most prestigious club competition in European football, played by the national league champions (and, for some nations, one or more runners-up) of their national associations.
